Obstetrics and Gynecology
One of Maryland General Hospital´s premier offerings is its OB/GYN program. In addition to Maryland General affiliated physicians, we are pleased to offer a nurse midwife option. All our nurse midwives are credentialed by the American College of Nurse Midwives.

You´ll find Maryland General Hospital´s Obstetrical Center to be a great place to start your new life as a parent. Our state-of-the-art facility handles routine deliveries, and because we have an anesthesiologist on call, epidurals are available and C-sections can be performed safely on the unit 24 hours a day.
Our facility features seven Labor/Delivery/Recovery/ Postpartum suites and two Labor/Delivery/Recovery suites, each in a beautifully decorated facility with free color television and local telephone service.
Maryland General´s gynecology services provide women with medical and surgical care of the reproductive system and any associated disorders. Patients are seen by one of the hospital´s affiliated physicians or in the Family Health Center.
