Donald E. Ray Appointed Corporate Compliance Officer for Maryland General Hospital

(Baltimore, MD - April 27, 2011) Maryland General Hospital has announced the appointment of Donald E. Ray as the hospital's new Corporate Compliance Officer. In his capacity as Corporate Compliance Officer, Ray will ensure that all of the hospital's processes meet federal requirements.

"Don's training as a lawyer in addition to his experience with hospital operations make him uniquely qualified for this position," said Sylvia Smith Johnson, President and CEO of Maryland General Hospital.

Ray assumes the duties as Corporate Compliance Officer in addition to his current responsibilities as Vice President of Operations for the hospital, providing direction and support to the clinical ancillary and support departments including pharmacy, lab, respiratory therapy, radiology, environmental services, food & nutrition, materials management, patient transportation, and telecommunications.
