(Baltimore, MD - April 16, 2010) Tom Joyner, host of the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, Magic 95.9 WWIN-FM and Maryland General Hospital will be host the fourteenth stop on the 'Tom Joyner Morning Show Census Tour 2010', Friday, April 16th from 6 am to 10 am to encourage the Baltimore community to stand up and be counted. The tour has visited 14 cities, with a different location each week day, for three weeks from March 30 � April 16, 2010.

Tom Joyner, whose morning show reaches a national audience of eight million, is urging the Baltimore community to stand up and be counted during the Census 2010 special broadcast on Friday, April 16th where listeners can return their form on site to official Census workers and say hello to Tom and the crew. The 'Tom Joyner Morning Show Census Tour 2010' will be stopping in 14 cities across the country including Dallas, Houston, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Atlanta, Savannah, Orlando, Miami, Columbia, Charlotte, Raleigh, Washington DC and Baltimore. Baltimore is the last stop on the tour.

The only civic event that includes every person in the country, the Census is the basis for America's representative democracy, ensuring that Congress is fairly reapportioned every 10 years between the states. Asking just 10 questions and taking about 10 minutes to complete, 2010 Census forms began arriving in 120 million mailboxes across the nation March 15th. The Census information not only affects the numbers of seats each state occupies in the U.S. House of Representatives, it also helps to determine how more than $400 billion dollars of federal funding each year is spent on infrastructure and services like hospitals, job training centers, schools, senior centers, emergency services, bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects.
