| Q. |
Where do I go when I arrive at the hospital? |
| A. |
If you are a patient, please report to the Admitting Department located in the main corridor. There, you will complete all required forms and receive an appropriate room assignment. In the case of an elective admission, the pre–admission unit of the Admitting Department will make every effort to contact the patient in advance to obtain information to speed up the admitting process.
Obstetrical patients should report directly to the Obstetrical Center on the 2nd floor. After determining if the patient requires admission, staff from Labor and Delivery will contact the Admitting Department with the appropriate information. |

How do I obtain spiritual support from a clergy member? |
| A. |
Maryland General Hospital recognizes that many of its patients have spiritual needs. In the event you don’t have a spiritual support system available to you, a list of clergy representing all denominations is kept at each nursing station. |
