Since 1881, Maryland General Hospital has served the healthcare needs of the Baltimore community, providing quality care and excellent service to our patients and their families.
As a non profit, university-affiliated teaching hospital located in downtown Baltimore, our mission is simple, but powerful - to improve the health of our community through superior, compassionate care and medical education in partnership with our physicians and employees.
Our more than 500 physicians and 1,400 employees provide a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services -- covering education, prevention, and treatment of illness, injury and other sickness - in more than 30+ specialties.

Community Health Education Program
We care about the health of our community. The Maryland General Community Health Education Center offers many free medical screenings. In addition, we host a variety of classes and support groups.
For information about our free screenings and classes, call HealthLink 2000 at 410-225-2000. The service is free, and we take calls Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
