The Treatment Process
After performing a thorough exam of the patient and assessment of the wound(s), including taking photographs to track wound healing progress, our team develops a customized treatment plan that typically involves weekly treatments until the wound heals. If
hyperbaric oxygen therapy is ordered, it involves approximately 30 consecutive ‘dives’ in our single-use, private chamber, which houses a television for patients undergoing treatments.
The center's clinical staff utilizes case management, which will encompass all of the disciplines necessary to deliver the care plan. The nurses and physicians generate clinical outcome reports, send updates with photos, and are in constant contact with the patient’s primary physician. By utilizing all of the resources available, our staff will work as a team with the patient’s primary physician to provide education and support during treatment and after the wounds have healed.
