Services

The GI division offers diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Colonoscopy to diagnose colon polyps, colon cancer, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Upper endoscopy to identify and treat common conditions including ulcer disease, heartburn and hiatal hernia
  • Testing and treatment for liver disease, gallstones and diseases of the pancreas using ultrasound and our advanced CT scanner.

The key to preventing colon cancer

Identifying and removing polyps in the colon is the key to colon cancer prevention. Doctors perform a colonoscopy to find and remove these growths in the colon. You should have your first screening colonoscopy at age 50, or even earlier if someone in your family has had colon cancer.
