Electrocardiogram or EKG/ECG
The basic tool of cardiac diagnostics that records and measures the electrical activity of the heart. EKGs are performed in Cardiology and at the bedside. The results are downloaded into a computer and an initial interpretation is provided to the cardiologist for review.
