Behavioral Health Services
Maryland General offers a wide range of services to help people of all ages who are facing mental or behavioral health problems. Our experienced staff provides compassionate inpatient care for adults with serious mental health diagnoses including acute depression, anxiety, paranoia, schizophrenia, or who are at risk for suicide. We also provide outpatient services for children and adults dealing with a variety of behavioral health issues.
Our services
Our staff works with each patient to diagnose and treat mental and behavioral health problems. We offer the complete spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, including:
- Psychiatric, medical, functional skill, and psychosocial assessments
- Medication management and education
- Coping skills education
- Nursing focus groups to help patients build memory, attention, and focus skills
- Group, individual, and family therapy
- Skill building activities
- ECT (electroconvulsive therapy)
