Dr. Kavita Karla Joins Maryland General Hospital's Department of Oncology and Hematology
(Baltimore, MD - November 17, 2010) Kavita B. Kalra, M.D., has joined the Department of Oncology and Hematology at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Kalra is Board Certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. She will specialize in Breast, Lung, GI, and Head/Neck cancers will also see patient's with lymphoma, multiple myeloma and anemia including iron deficiency.
Dr. Kalra is a graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Maryland General Hospital and a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Greenebaum Cancer Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Prior to joining Maryland General Hospital, Dr. Kalra was an Assistant Instructor in medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Chief Resident during her residency at Maryland General.
