Maryland Wound Healing Center at Maryland General Hospital Names Program Director

(Baltimore, MD - December 15, 2011) Colleen Miller has been named Program Director for the Maryland Wound Healing Center.
The state-of-the-art Maryland Wound Healing Center is located on the campus of Maryland General Hospital (827 Linden Avenue) and scheduled to open in March 2012. The Center will offer highly specialized hospital-based outpatient wound care, including treatment of chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
A nurse and health care administrator, Miller will be responsible for all aspects of the center's operation including ensuring quality patient care, recruiting and hiring, compliance with federal and state guidelines, budgeting and fiscal policies, and marketing and sales.
Prior to joining the Maryland Wound Healing Center at Maryland General Hospital, Miller served as Area Program Director for Wound Care Centers of Diversified Clinical Services.
The Maryland Wound Healing Center and Maryland General Hospital have partnered with National Healing Corporation, which has a nationwide network of researchers and specialists and accounts for more than 30 percent of the country's managed and outsourced wound healing centers. National Healing Corporation has earned the Joint Commission's Disease-Specific Care Certification for wound care.
